Nexus is a literary magazine for James Madison University featuring student work that is also designed by students. The objective of this project was to experiment with layout, especially with typography, to find visually interesting ways to exhibit work without sacrificing legibility. Simplicity was a big factor in the design, but that didn’t stop the process of finding interesting ways to display work, whether it be image or text.
